Dollar to Naira Today, Sept. 3, 2026: $1 Exchanges At ₦1,329
The Nigerian naira recorded a slight improvement against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The local currency closed at ₦1,326.6862 to the dollar, representing a modest appreciation compared with Tuesday’s rate of ₦1,329.4300 per dollar.
However, the naira continued to trade at a weaker level in the parallel market, where the dollar closed at approximately ₦1,405 on Wednesday.
Market rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change operators and other foreign exchange dealers may vary from the official reference rate due to transaction margins, as well as prevailing demand and supply conditions.
According to market watchers, attention remains focused on foreign exchange inflows, dollar demand and policy measures by the CBN as participants assess whether the naira can maintain its recent performance in the coming weeks.
