Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris Seeks Sultan of Sokoto’s Support for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education

Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education, met with the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, who is also the President General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

During the courtesy call, Dr. Idris sought the Sultan’s support and the backing of traditional institutions across the country. His goal is to enhance the successful implementation of the Commission’s mandate, which focuses on improving the educational opportunities for Almajiri and out-of-school children.

Dr. Idris emphasized the critical role that traditional leaders play in advocating for educational reform and ensuring that these vulnerable children receive the education they need. He expressed hope that the Sultan’s influence would help mobilize resources and support for the Commission’s initiatives.
