The accident happened at the expressway’s Odogbolu interchange after a Mazda bus with the registration number AGL 886 YD burst into flames due to engine oil overflow.
The latest accident was confirmed to journalists in Abeokuta by the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).

He explained that the victims were worshippers traveling from Lagos State’s Kosofe area to Epe for a church revival.
Akinbiyi provided a breakdown of the victims, stating that there were 15 passengers, one male adult and 14 females. However, only the bus driver was unharmed.
