As Christians worldwide commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, several Nigerian leaders have extended heartfelt Easter greetings to the nation.

According to reports, Governors Dikko Radda of Katsina State, Umaru Bago of Niger State, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike have encouraged Nigerians to draw strength and inspiration from Christ’s sacrifice and triumph over death.

Governor Radda, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, highlighted the significance of sacrifice, forgiveness, and redemption during the Easter season.

“Easter reminds us of the transformative power of sacrifice and forgiveness—values that should inspire us all in our collective effort to build a peaceful and prosperous Katsina,” he stated.

In Niger State, Governor Umaru Bago, through a message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, called for intensified prayers for the nation’s leaders.

He said, “We must continue to pray that God will grant our leaders the wisdom and guidance needed to serve the people diligently and deliver the promises of democracy.”

“This is a moment for sober reflection—on our conduct, our relationships with others, and how we can become more united and responsible citizens. Let us find the strength to forgive, reconcile, and live in peace,” he urged.

Mohammed further appealed to the people to protect the unity of Bauchi State and rise above divisive tendencies based on politics, ethnicity, or religion.

Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, also delivered his Easter message, encouraging residents of Abuja to embrace the spirit of love and compassion.

“I urge residents to reflect the true meaning of Easter by showing love, being one another’s keeper, and promoting unity, tolerance, and mutual understanding,” Wike said.
