Victor Nosa Omoregie, the Labour Party’s candidate for Ovia North East Constituency in the recently concluded State House of Assembly election, resigned from the party after an unsuccessful run.

In a statement to journalists on Monday, Omoregie said his resignation was due to Labour Party members viewing him as a snitch for the Peoples Democratic Party.

He stated that he left LP because he felt he was never accepted.

According to him, LP officials believed he was not working in the party’s best interests in the state.

He explained that the LP leadership did everything they could to discredit him, including creating confusion about his candidacy.

He emphasized that the Edo party does not represent the will of the people.

“I contested the election under the ticket of the Labour Party but was never genuinely accepted into the party as I was regarded as a mole and agent working for PDP,” he said.
