“I Can See Again!” — Oredo Still Buzzing as Hon. Esosa Iyawe’s Free Eye Surgeries Ignite Waves of Joy and Unending Testimonies(Photos)

Days after the surgical instruments were packed up and the curtains drawn on a weekend of life-changing healthcare, the people of Oredo Federal Constituency are still reeling with joy — and the name on every lip? Hon. Esosa Iyawe.

The buzz has not died down. From Oba Market to Upper Sokponba, from teachers to traders — testimonies keep pouring in, praising the compassionate gesture of the House of Reps member who, in partnership with Prime Opticals & Eye Clinic, sponsored free eye surgeries for his constituents.

About 40 beneficiaries received the gift of sight — not through mere words or political promises, but through fully funded, high-quality surgical care, all at no cost to them. For many, it was nothing short of a miracle.

One elderly woman was overheard at a local store shouting joyfully, “Na today I dey see well again — Esosa Iyawe na our Moses!” Another man broke into tears, telling neighbours how he had waited two years for surgery but couldn’t afford it — until Hon. Iyawe showed up.

The outreach wasn’t just a medical mission — it was a movement of hope, perfectly aligned with the healthcare vision of Governor Monday Okpebholo. And it’s just the beginning.

The medical director of Prime Opticals, Dr. Valentina Ideh, hailed the partnership as a “divine alignment,” especially as it coincided with the clinic’s 35th anniversary.

As for the beneficiaries like John Edosomwan and Pat Mbamalu? They now call Hon. Iyawe “the light in our darkness.”

In a time when many politicians vanish after elections, Hon. Esosa Iyawe is not only showing up — he’s showing care, action, and results.

Oredo has spoken — and the echoes of gratitude are growing louder by the day.
