Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has shared his perspective on the growing conversations around paternity fraud, stating that he could still accept and raise a child even if a DNA test later reveals he is not the biological father.

According to reports monitored by Ireporter Online, the actor made the remark during an interview on BBC Yoruba, where he explained that emotional connection and responsibility toward a child could outweigh biological ties. Salami noted that if he had already developed a strong bond with the child and regarded the child as his own, he would continue to accept and raise the child regardless of the outcome of a DNA test.

He stated that if a DNA result indicated the child was not biologically his but he had already embraced the child as his own, he would still stand by that responsibility. However, the actor admitted that he could not predict how he might react toward his wife if such a situation were to occur.

In a separate conversation, Salami also spoke about the passing of his colleague and friend, Allwell Ademola, describing her death as something that happened at the time destined for her life. The actor shared his thoughts while appearing on the Oyinmomo TV programme, where he discussed the circumstances surrounding the actress’s sudden demise and the nature of cardiac arrest.

During the interview, Salami explained that cardiac arrest can occur unexpectedly and may affect anyone, even individuals who make efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He added that such medical emergencies often happen without warning.

The actor further revealed that many people were aware that the late actress had been living with asthma. Despite this, he said she was known to be careful and attentive in managing her health before her passing.
