Since we have established the fact that the 2023 General elections are the major subjects we have at hand then we can as well discuss the expectations and reality as we march towards 2023.

Whatever that is threatening us as a Nation, be it food security, housing, insecurity, banditry, insurgency, name it the solution lies only in a near-perfect government in place.

For me, the only way we can be able to benefit from the desired changes we seek still remains in the kind of leadership we put in charge of our resources.

One major election that is of interest to everybody irrespective of location, religion and nationality is the 2023 presidential election.

Would Nigeria get it right this time around? What have we learnt and how can we make amends?

The 2023 presidential election is not expected to generate much furore like the way it does today because apparently, politicians that seek electoral offices ought to have a record of performance as a template to be evaluated.

Again the performance is not really concentrated on the party alone but majorly on the individual, governance is 80 % on the integrity and reputation of the leader you vote in.

Political parties especially the major ones we have today(the APC and PDP) are practically one and the same.

As a matter of fact, 70 % of APC governors, senators, reps members and ministers we have today were once in PDP.

Nigerians fail to always distinguish between expectations and reality. What we expect might be what gladdens our heart but the reality might very well be the opposite. And fortunately or unfortunately reality is what counts.

I have been a very strong advocate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and daily I give my reasons for my support.

Least I forget the youths are totally out of the equation as we approach the 2023 PRESIDENTIAL elections, now the time frame has knocked them out of contention, so in reality, I won’t waste my precious time discussing what is fruitless.

Although I am happy that lots of youths are participating in other elections that involve other political offices.

So who does the cap fit? Good question, first and foremost the reality proves that the likely contestants for the 2023 presidency are either past governors or serving governors, only Atiku and Osinbajo seems not to have fallen in this category of never serving as a Governor.

Anytime I make a post I see confused fellows that don’t even have a presidential choice yet shouting, Tinubu can not be president he has Lagos in his pockets. They keep shouting that Tinubu has enslaved Lagos bla bla bla.

Yesterday I listened to a confused friend who argued all day how Tinubu has Lagos under his firm grip.

When he finished his sermon I asked him why are you vilifying Tinubu when it comes to Lagos economy and yet refuse to give him the credit that Lagos is among the fastest-growing city in the world with one of the best economies in Africa.

I keep saying the heart of some people are desperately wicked, you hate someone over a State you give credit to as the only State in Nigeria where everything works.

You claim Tinubu is killing Lagos yet you don’t give credit to Tinubu for the GREATNESS of LAGOS,  just see how pessimistic and dangerously wicked you are. Who does that?

Hypocrites, if Tinubu is that bad why is Lagos better than the rest?

They will tell you don’t compare Lagos with Edo State bla bla bla, Lagos has a seaport, Lagos has this Lagos has that, and I ask what stops your government from not having theirs? Lagos is not the highest earners of federal allocation.

Now let us retrace our steps and ask ourselves what led to the struggle that Lagos is today an INSTITUTION that works? For over three years, Obasanjo denied Lagos its Federal allocation over the creation of LCDAs by Tinubu.

You see when I point out such fact,” BODY GO JUST DEY PEPPER’ these detractors and THEY BEGIN TO throw tantrums at my personality, they won’t look at the message but rush to attack the messenger.

Can Edo, Delta State, Kwara or any other State survive six months without allocation? I am asking for my late father.

Tinubu challenged the “gods” then (PDP) and looked inwards, more like when they say I AM AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN.

I was listening to Destiny Child’s “Survivor” and I have decided to share some of the lyrics here.

“Now that you’re outta my life, I’m so much better…You thought that I’d be weak without ya, but I’m stronger..You thought that I’d be broke without ya, but I’m richer…You thought that I’d be sad without ya, I love harder…You thought I wouldn’t grow without ya, now I’m wiser!
You thought that I’d be helpless without ya but I’m smarter……

I’m a survivor (what), I’m not gon’ give up (what), I’m not gon’ stop (what), I’m gon’ work harder (what)”

Google the lyrics survivor by Destiny’s Child and you would be thrilled.

They said it all… PDP wanted to teach Lagos a lesson and wanted it to be weaker but they came out stronger, they wanted them to be poorer but they came out richer……

Tinubu was the one who laid the foundation for a strong and independent Lagos and you claim he is evil.

Name your former or serving governor that can survive without federal allocation and come out richer?

Tinubu is way ahead of the game, Tinubu would take Nigeria to a state of independence from the fraudulent colonist that perpetually keeps Nigeria under bondage, the heartless bandits and insurgents etc.

If you must give LAGOS the credit then you must give TINUBU THE CREDIT.

Tell us what your governor did with your State that you choose him ahead of Tinubu? Lagos is great, Lagos is the home of the hardworking, Lagos is bla bla bla and yet you say Tinubu is wicked and same time holding Lagos to bondage and yet the Lagos that you say is in bondage is among the fastest-growing cities in the world.

These detractors come from a State, they should tell us what progress their State made when their hero was a Governor?

They keep masturbating on Tinubu while he turns into a national movement and a rallying point for the progressives.

Name any likely aspirant that seeks the 2023 presidential election and tell me who amongst them has an enviable record of performance like Tinubu? Lagos is built on continuity hence the foundation is growing stronger.

Go to Lagos on a tour today and go back a year later you will be marvelled. Can that be said of so many other states?

Some after 6 months the road you passed to visit the city may not be available again, then the government would blame the past governor for the decay even when the governor has spent above 6 years in office.

When there was no allocation to Lagos for years did you hear Tinubu shouting that there was no money to pay salaries and pensions?

But today some governors will pay salaries and take to social media in celebration. Look at the kind of projects that local government executives in Lagos execute and compare them to some State projects?

Make dem clear road for Jagaban jor, in terms of sense for head Jagaban no get mate. Haters will never want to face reality.
