According to Ireporter Online, Chelsea secured a dramatic Premier League point after Enzo Fernandez struck deep into stoppage time to earn a 1-1 draw against title contenders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The result came at the end of a difficult week for the London club, who were placed under interim leadership following the departure of their head coach earlier in the week. Under temporary management, Chelsea delivered a disciplined performance, frustrating the hosts for long spells despite falling behind before the break.

Manchester City dominated possession and pressure, with Erling Haaland going close on two occasions in the first half. The Norwegian forward forced an excellent save from Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen before rattling the woodwork moments later as City pushed for an opener.

The breakthrough eventually arrived shortly before half-time when Tijjani Reijnders capitalised on a loose ball at the edge of the box, skipped past his marker and fired a precise shot into the corner to give the champions the lead.

Chelsea responded positively after the interval, creating several clear opportunities. Pedro Neto squandered a close-range chance, while substitute Liam Delap saw his effort blocked as the visitors grew in confidence and belief.

Their persistence paid off in the closing moments of the match when Fernandez reacted quickest inside the area, prodding home at the third attempt to silence the home crowd and spark celebrations among the travelling supporters.

The draw marked a missed opportunity for Manchester City, who have now recorded consecutive stalemates and sit six points behind league leaders Arsenal, while Chelsea will take encouragement from a resilient display under interim guidance.
