FG Shifts Paramilitary Recruitment Exercise to Mid-July Over Operational Adjustments

The Federal Government has postponed the commencement of recruitment into its paramilitary agencies, shifting the earlier date of June 26 to a new start date of July 14, 2025.

This development was disclosed on Wednesday evening through an official statement issued by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

According to the statement, the recruitment portal initially set to open on June 26 will now become active on Monday, July 14. The Board urged all prospective applicants to take note of the revised schedule and assured the public of a transparent recruitment process.

“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to notify the general public that its recruitment portal which was earlier slated to open on Thursday, 26th June 2025, will now open on Monday, 14th July 2025,” the statement read.

The CDCFIB further clarified that all applications must be submitted through its official portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, emphasizing that the entire process is free of charge.

“Applicants are kindly requested to take note of the above changes as well as be reminded that all applications are free and do not attract any payment,” the statement warned, adding that no third-party agents are authorized to collect money on behalf of the board.

The Board apologized for any inconvenience caused by the change in dates and reiterated its dedication to a fair and efficient selection process.

Earlier this week, the CDCFIB had announced the commencement of recruitment into key paramilitary bodies including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
