According to Ireporter Online, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerians to demonstrate compassion and support for the less privileged as they celebrate Easter. In her Easter message on Friday, she encouraged citizens to embrace acts of charity, reminding them that the season offers an opportunity to reflect on selflessness and love.

“As we celebrate Easter with our loved ones, friends, neighbours, and communities, let us remember those in need and extend compassion and support wherever we can,” the First Lady said. She described Easter as a powerful reminder of the enduring love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the hope brought by His resurrection to humanity.

The First Lady stressed that the lessons of Easter should motivate Nigerians to uplift vulnerable populations, promote unity, and make sacrifices for the nation’s development. “May the spirit of Easter inspire us to uplift the vulnerable, love one another, make sacrifices when necessary, and work together to build a peaceful and prosperous nation for all,” she added.

She further emphasized that collective responsibility and mutual care are vital in fostering a harmonious society, urging citizens to embody compassion and generosity beyond the festive season. The First Lady concluded by wishing Nigerians a joyful Easter celebration.
