Flavour Reveals Emotional Moment He Was Removed From Stage For P-Square

According to Ireporter Online, the singer shared the experience during an interview on the World Wide podcast, revealing that the incident happened at a club where he was performing before P-Square arrived.

Flavour explained that while he was entertaining the audience, the club manager suddenly instructed him to step aside as P-Square was set to perform.

The “Ada Ada” hitmaker said he turned off his microphone and moved away from the stage, adding that the crowd’s reaction when Paul Okoye of P-Square began performing their hit song “Temptation” left him surprised.

He disclosed that the overwhelming excitement from fans made him question the difference between his own music and that of the famous duo at the time.

“I was performing one time when P-Square came in, and the manager of the place told me to leave the stage immediately. I switched off my mic and went to sit somewhere,” Flavour recalled.

He added that seeing fans scream and cheer for P-Square made him reflect on his own career journey, but the experience eventually became a source of motivation rather than discouragement.

The singer noted that the moment pushed him to put in more effort, improve his craft and remain dedicated to his musical ambitions.

Flavour, who has since become one of Nigeria’s most successful highlife and Afrobeats artistes, said the difficult experience contributed to his determination and eventual rise in the Nigerian music industry.
