According to Ireporter Online, popular Nigerian gospel singer Busola Oke has revealed the emotional toll of her music career, shedding tears during a live Instagram session as she shared her ongoing struggles. Known for her hit song Eleyele, Oke apologised to fans for her visible distress and admitted she could no longer cope with the pressures confronting her profession.

In the now-viral video, she expressed frustration at what she described as the declining value of good music. “To my fans, I’m sorry. I never planned to do this, but I can’t take this anymore. I’m done. Good music don’t sell anymore. How can you eat when there’s no food? How can you be at peace when there’s no peace?” she said, highlighting the emotional exhaustion she has experienced in Nigeria’s competitive entertainment industry.

The gospel singer also alluded to a longstanding dispute with her producer, Bayo Films, which has shadowed her career in recent years. During the session, Oke indicated that she felt abandoned by many who supported her during the peak of her success, and she emphasised the challenges of financial instability. “There can be no peace when there is no financial stability,” she said, underscoring the practical pressures that accompany artistic work.

Oke’s rise to prominence came through spiritually uplifting songs that resonated widely within and beyond the Christian community. Hits like Eleyele, Ogo Tuntun, Asoro Ma Tase, Alanu, and Adaba have cemented her status as one of Nigeria’s notable gospel voices.
