2023 Elections: See Results From Amaechi’s LGA
Former Transportation Minister Rotimi Ameachi has lost his local government area in Ikwerre to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the state governorship election, the PDP received 13,716 votes to defeat the All Progressive Congress (APC), which received 7,503 votes.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Accord Party received 138 votes, the Labour Party (LP) received 895 votes, and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) received 1,447 votes.
