According to Ireporter Online, reality television star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has stirred widespread reactions on social media following the circulation of a video in which she shared her views on marriage laws in Nigeria.

In the viral clip, Phyna openly called for a legal reform that would grant women the same marital freedoms currently enjoyed by men. She argued that it is unfair for women to be limited to one spouse while men are legally permitted to marry multiple wives.

The actress maintained that if existing laws were amended, women should be allowed to marry as many husbands as they desire without restrictions. She explained that such freedom would promote equality and personal choice in marriage.

Using herself as an example, Phyna stated that she would willingly marry up to five men if the law permitted it, stressing that she would treat all her husbands equally. She added that none of them would be favoured over the other, as they would share the same lifestyle, attire, and standard of living.

Phyna further referenced cultural practices in countries such as India, suggesting that Nigeria could adopt a system that accommodates women who choose to have multiple husbands. She described herself as ready to embrace such a lifestyle if it were legally recognised.

The reality star also encouraged women to be courageous and united in advocating for reforms that promote their rights, urging them to move collectively and live boldly without societal limitations.
