Big Brother Naija season 10 winner Imisi has addressed the longstanding tension between her and her mother, emphasizing her willingness to forgive and move forward. According to Ireporter Online, the reality TV star reflected on her complicated relationship during an interview on Channels TV, noting that their bond was weak throughout her childhood.

Despite the distance, Imisi stated that she harbors no resentment. She acknowledged the challenges her mother faced while raising her and affirmed her belief in forgiveness. “She is my mom, and I’m a woman. I know the pain it takes to bring a child into this world. If God wills it… I can forgive her. I’ve forgiven people who aren’t even related to me, so of course I can forgive her,” Imisi said.

She added that both she and her mother are doing well in life and expressed hope that her mother continues to seek guidance and support. “Growing up, we didn’t really have a strong relationship. But I don’t have anything against her. She’s doing well, and I’m doing well. Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe she should just be a better person. But she should keep praying the Lord is with her,” she explained.

The strained relationship drew public attention months after Imisi’s Big Brother Naija victory when videos emerged of her mother accusing her of neglect. Imisi clarified that these issues predated her fame and that she has continued to offer support despite past difficulties.
