Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has offered financial assistance to her colleague, Omotunde Ogundimu, to support her ongoing cancer treatment.

According to Ireporter Online, Ogundimu disclosed the development in a post shared on Instagram, where she expressed appreciation to Akindele for reaching out to her and providing a significant amount of money towards her medical care.

The actress said Akindele’s gesture came as a surprise because she had not expected to receive a call or financial assistance from her colleague that morning.

Ogundimu thanked Akindele for the support and appealed to her followers to pray for the actress, describing the gesture as a blessing at a difficult time.

She also prayed for Akindele, asking God to continue to strengthen and prosper her while expressing gratitude for her kindness.

The financial support comes days after Ogundimu publicly revealed that she had been battling cervical cancer.

The actress opened up about her health condition during an interview with fellow actress Biola Adebayo, where she disclosed that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2024 after undergoing a series of medical tests.

According to Ogundimu, the diagnosis was devastating and difficult to process, leaving her emotionally affected.

Since then, she has had to deal with the physical challenges associated with the illness as well as its emotional impact.

Akindele’s intervention has now provided financial support for Ogundimu’s treatment as she continues her battle with the condition.
