I Didn’t Mean It!’ – Nkechi Blessing Apologizes To BBNaija’s Imisi Over Sensitive Question

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has issued a public apology to Big Brother Naija season 10 winner Imisi Ayanwale following a controversial moment at the reality star’s recent birthday celebration.

The event, attended by several celebrities including Do2dtun, Bisola Aiyeola, Kiekie, Brodashaggi, and others, featured a question-and-answer session in which Nkechi Blessing asked Imisi whether she would ever reconcile with her mother, with whom she has had a strained relationship.

The question sparked widespread online debate, with many netizens criticizing the actress. In response to the backlash, Nkechi Blessing posted a video on her Instagram page expressing regret for her remarks. She emphasized that the question was not intended to gain attention and asked anyone offended to forgive her. “I sincerely want to apologise to anybody who got offended by the question I asked Imisi a couple of hours ago at her party. If you find my question offensive, I am sorry. Find a place in your heart to forgive me,” she stated.

The tension between Imisi and her mother began when videos surfaced in November showing her mother claiming she had been abandoned and was living in poor conditions despite Imisi’s N150 million BBNaija prize. In her response, Imisi noted that her mother had not been involved in her life prior to her win, with long periods of no contact. She also clarified that she had provided financial support over the years, including in the lead-up to the controversy, and highlighted that her prize money cannot be used to solely support one family member, given the many who now depend on her.
