According to Ireporter Online, Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has dismissed claims that he used Wizkid’s name to boost his career, calling the allegations unfounded. The musician, who has previously criticised the Starboy artist and his fan base during livestreams, addressed the speculation in a recent video.

Kuti highlighted his global achievements over the past year, revealing that he performed 82 shows worldwide, including sold-out concerts in Australia, Europe, America, and Brazil. He stressed that his career does not require revival and questioned the notion that he would need to leverage another artist to gain relevance.

Describing the music industry as expansive enough for all artists, Kuti likened himself to a “Big Bird,” emphasizing that no single artist can dominate the entire space. “Some people are saying I am trying to use Wizkid to revive my career. When did my career die for me to be trying to revive it?” he stated. “Last year alone, I did 82 shows globally… People whose careers need revival know themselves. It is not me.”
