I Reached Out, He Ignored Me – Kollington Laments Kwam1’s Coldness After Mother’s Death!”

Veteran Fuji musician, Ayinla Kollington, has fired back at King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1, over claims that he failed to offer condolences after the passing of K1’s mother.

K1 had previously alleged that while he stood by Kollington during his own time of grief, Kollington did not return the favor when tragedy struck him.

However, during a recent interview on Agbaletu TV, Kollington strongly refuted the accusation, revealing that he made multiple attempts to reach out to K1 by phone, but his calls went unanswered and unreturned.

Kollington didn’t hold back, suggesting that K1’s new title, “Olori Omoba,” had inflated his ego.

Reasserting his status in the Fuji music scene, Kollington maintained that K1 would need to surpass him before claiming the leadership of the genre. He said:

“When Wasiu Ayinde’s mother died, I called him several times, but he neither picked up nor returned my calls. Even on New Year’s Day, I reached out, and still, no response. I wondered, what’s wrong with this boy? So, I let him be. He can’t claim he was too busy — busy doing what? If it’s because he now bears the title ‘Olori Omoba,’ that’s for his family in Ijebu, not for me. Does he aspire to become God? I remain the leader of all Fuji musicians. As long as I am alive, he can never assume that role. After surviving a serious illness recently, I know only God can take my life.”
