I’m Committed To PDP, Not Defecting To APC – Osun Governor Adeleke Assures

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has refuted speculations suggesting he might dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleke reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the PDP, declaring himself not just a member but the leader of the party in Osun State.

His statement comes on the heels of his visits to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos and Abuja, which had triggered rumours of an imminent defection.

Addressing the issue in a post on X, the governor urged the public to disregard the misleading reports, emphasizing his dedication to fulfilling his administration’s five-point agenda for the people of Osun.

“Over the last few hours, I have been inundated with calls regarding rumours of a possible defection.

“I want to assure the good people of Osun State and Nigerians at large; I remain a loyal member and the leader of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State.

“My focus remains on delivering good governance and fulfilling our 5-point agenda for Osun people,” Adeleke wrote.
