According to Ireporter Online, Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has opened up about his ongoing struggle with faith, revealing that despite converting from Christianity to Islam, he remains uncertain about his spiritual path.

In a recent conversation with streamer Playboymax, the Afrofusion star admitted that his continuous search for meaning has only deepened his confusion rather than provided clarity.

“Growing up, I was a Christian, and then I converted to Islam. It feels like I’ve studied everything, but I’m still trying to figure out what’s really going on. The more I research, the more confused I become,” Burna Boy confessed.

The “City Boys” crooner noted that his exploration of different religions stemmed from a genuine desire to discover truth beyond the beliefs he inherited. Reflecting on his upbringing, he emphasized how family background often shapes one’s spiritual foundation.

“Of course, that’s what your parents believe and what you’re born into,” he remarked, underscoring the influence of early religious conditioning.

Burna Boy described his ongoing journey as a personal quest for enlightenment and self-understanding. His remarks have sparked fresh conversations online about spirituality and identity among Nigerian youths.

Reports indicate that his comments come months after fellow Nigerian singer 9ice revealed he had abandoned Islam for the Ifa traditional faith following what he described as a “spiritual attack” that left him bedridden for half a year.
