Jide Kosoko Explains Why Ailing Ogogo Can’t Be Moved From Hospital

Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, has appealed to Nigerians, colleagues and fans of ailing actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, to continue praying for his recovery as he remains in hospital.

Kosoko also explained why the actor’s family has been unable to respond to the numerous offers of medical, spiritual and traditional assistance coming from well-wishers.

According to Ireporter Online, Kosoko disclosed in a statement shared on Instagram on Wednesday that hundreds of people had contacted the family with various proposals aimed at helping Ogogo recover.

He said the family had received more than 300 offers, with the number reportedly exceeding 500, from individuals who sincerely believed they had something that could assist the actor.

However, Kosoko explained that Ogogo’s current condition has made it difficult to move him from the hospital to different locations for additional treatments or interventions.

He said the family’s major challenge was determining where to take the actor and how to safely move him while he is already receiving medical attention.

The veteran actor particularly appealed to those who had offered spiritual, traditional or specialised forms of treatment not to feel offended if the family could not bring Ogogo to them.

Kosoko stressed that the family’s inability to accept such offers should not be interpreted as a rejection of the goodwill or intentions of those offering assistance.

He expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support and concern shown towards Ogogo, describing the response from Nigerians and people around the world as deeply touching.

Rather than travelling to the hospital or attempting to move the actor, Kosoko encouraged well-wishers to continue supporting the family and praying for Ogogo from their respective locations.

He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue believing in the actor’s recovery while the family manages his ongoing treatment.
