Residents of Owan Federal Constituency in Edo State are jubilant over the spirited people-oriented bills and policies of Prof Julius Ihonvbere, the lawmaker representing Owan constituents at the Green Chambers.

Yesterday the bill on the Establishment of School of Nursing and Midwifery, Sobe in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State passed its first reading at the Green Chambers. The bill which is a people-oriented one if passed into law would provide more medical personnel and help expand the health institutions in the State.

Prof Ihonvbere who himself was elated about the first reading of the bill says when established the school would help mitigate the high maternal and infant mortality rate in Edo State and Nigeria by extension. According to him the prevention and treatment of the causes of infant mortality would be a top priority.

He asserted that before the year runs out the bill would pass its second and third reading. Promising more people-oriented bills and projects the Lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to constituents in bringing legislation closer to the grassroots.
Owan residents say they are blessed with a quality representative in the person of Prof Chief Julius Ihonvbere.
