JUST IN: Buhari Makes Massive Appointments (FULL LIST)

On Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the renewal of appointments as well as some new ones for federal parastatals and agencies.

The approvals were announced in a statement issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) and signed by Mr. Willie Bassey, Director of Information in his office.

According to the statement, President Buhari ratified Dauda Ali Biu’s appointment as Corp Marshal/Chief Executive Officer, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), effective December 23, 2022, for a four-year term.

Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye was also re-appointed as Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for a five-year term beginning December 1, 2022.

Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila was also re-appointed as Director-General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) for a four-year term beginning November 21, 2022.

Meanwhile, five executive directors in four of the country’s River Basin Development Authorities were re-appointed.

Engr. Bello Sani Gwarzo was re-appointed Executive Director (Planning), Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, effective November 23, 2022, for a three-year term.

In addition, the positions of Engr. Olatunji Babalola, Executive Director (Engineering), and Engr. Adewale Adeoye, Executive Director (Planning and Design), were renewed effective November 23rd, 2022, for a final term of three years.

Bashir Bala Zango, Executive Director (Planning), Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority, has had his tenure extended to November 23rd, 2022, for a final term of three years.

Mrs. Ononuju Mary Nwabunor, Executive Director (Agricultural Services), Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority, was newly appointed, effective December 19, 2022, for a three-year term.

The President congratulated all of the appointees and encouraged them to use their wealth of experience in their new roles.
