Kano Anti-Corruption Agency Blocks ₦160 Million, Summons Senator Kwankwaso’s Nephew To Be Questioned
The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has taken decisive action against a suspected local government contract scam, freezing accounts containing ₦160 million.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the commission is set to question Musa Garba Kwankwaso, nephew of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Thursday.
The probe is focused on contracts allegedly awarded without due process, with each of Kano’s 44 local governments reportedly paying ₦9 million monthly for drug supplies, totaling ₦396 million.
Novomed Pharmaceuticals, the company linked to Kwankwaso, is at the center of the controversy, raising concerns of possible misconduct.
