Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident on Sunday evening along the busy Daura-Katsina highway while returning from official duties.
The incident, which sparked concern among residents and political circles, happened at a location frequently noted for its high vehicular movement and occasional road hazards.
According to iReporter Online, the governor’s convoy encountered the mishap while navigating through one of the more congested segments of the route. Fortunately, Governor Radda did not sustain any serious injuries and was promptly taken to a medical facility for routine examination, as a precautionary measure.
The development was confirmed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, who described the situation as “a minor accident” and reassured the public that the Governor was in good health.
In a video message released shortly after, Radda—appearing calm and composed—affirmed that he was “hale and hearty” and receiving light treatment.
