Aliyu explained that the Command had adopted multiple proactive security measures and worked round the clock to safeguard lives and property across all parts of the state.
Giving a breakdown of the arrests, he stated that 12 suspected armed robbers, 5 murder and culpable homicide suspects, and 14 suspected drug dealers were among those apprehended within the period under review.
He further disclosed that operatives neutralised five suspected bandits and rescued over 80 kidnapped victims during various coordinated operations across the state.
Recovered exhibits from the operations included 1,298 rounds of live ammunition, four cartridges, one General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), two AK-47 rifles, and a large quantity of suspected vandalised electric cables, among other dangerous items.
ASP Aliyu commended the Katsina State Government and residents for their unwavering support and cooperation with security agencies, noting that such collaboration had greatly aided the Command’s efforts in combating crime.
He urged members of the public to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious movements or criminal activities to the nearest police formation or through the Command’s emergency hotlines, assuring that the police remain committed to sustaining the fight against banditry and other security challenges in the state.
