Kenneth Okonkwo Fires Back At Reports Of APC Comeback 

Former Labour Party stalwart, Kenneth Okonkwo, has debunked rumors suggesting his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“My attention has been drawn to an online report claiming that I have rejoined APC. I have just two words: fake news,” Okonkwo wrote.

Naija News recalls that Okonkwo recently announced his resignation from the Labour Party via his X handle, stating that his exit would take effect on February 25, 2025—the second anniversary of the 2023 presidential election.

Explaining his decision, he lamented that the Labour Party, in its current state, lacks the structure to shape Nigeria’s political future. He further criticized the party’s failure to conduct ward-level congresses, elect local and state executives, or hold a national convention.

Okonkwo also accused LP’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, of prioritizing personal gain over the party’s survival.
