He reassured supporters that measures are being taken to address the party’s leadership issues, emphasizing that the electorate still has faith in the PDP to deliver positive change.

Ajisafe pointed out that many Nigerians, particularly voters in Ondo State, are disillusioned with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) due to its perceived underperformance, and are looking to the PDP for improved governance.

“Our prospects are promising,” Ajisafe stated. “Politicians from various parties are joining us because they believe in the PDP’s vision. We’re confident in winning this election, given the extensive support we’ve garnered.”

He also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure fairness and neutrality during the election, calling for the upholding of democratic principles for the future of the nation.

Regarding the ongoing leadership crisis, Ajisafe minimized its significance, characterizing the factional disputes within the National Working Committee (NWC) as mere misunderstandings rather than indications of a more serious crisis. He assured party members and supporters that this situation would not adversely affect the party’s prospects in the upcoming election.
