The funeral prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Ayodele, close associates and key members of the team of British-Nigerian boxing champion Anthony Joshua, has been scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.

According to Ireporter Online, the Janaza prayer will be held at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG, with proceedings set to begin at 10:00 a.m.

In a message circulated ahead of the ceremony, sympathies were extended to the families, friends, and loved ones of the deceased, as the boxing community continues to grapple with the loss.

The remains of Ghami and Ayodele were returned to the United Kingdom after they were involved in a fatal road accident in Nigeria late last year. The tragic incident occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State.

The two men were travelling in a Lexus SUV alongside Anthony Joshua when the vehicle reportedly crashed into a stationary truck. Ghami, who served as Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, lost their lives at the scene, while the former world heavyweight champion sustained minor injuries.

The incident sparked widespread mourning across the global boxing scene, drawing tributes from fellow athletes, fans, and sports stakeholders worldwide.

Sunday’s funeral is expected to bring together members of the boxing fraternity and well-wishers, who will gather in London to pay their final respects and honor the memories of the late Ghami and Ayodele.
