Man Absconds After Fiancee’s Family Bill Him N2.5M For Bride Price

Promising suitor reportedly ghosted his in-laws-to-be after the family sent him a bride price list worth a whopping N2.5M.

According to a Twitter user @TheTawah_, his friend had to ghost his fiancee’s family over the bribe price that he considered outrageous.

“They gave my friend bride price list of almost ₦2.5m since last year, they haven’t seen my guy till now,” he wrote.

Most time its bants at least where I’m from (Akwa-Ibom). We say “marriage is a debt that cannot be paid in one day, one is forever indebted” It basically has to do with d grooms family showing respect and regard for them. You might even end up not paying half of their demands.

Why they go see am. Even if you wan sell your child sef you no go bill the man like that. Ladies better start talking to your parents o before men go the treat una anyhow for house. I’m sure things like this contribute to Domestic violence.

The eight-month-old marriage of Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has reportedly crashed.

This is coming four months after she announced the arrival of her first child.

The movie star took to her Instagram page on Saturday, May 8, 2021, where she called out a popular blogger for announcing the crash of her marriage and breaking the news of her pregnancy months ago.

“This ‘old witch’ again! I really do not want to reply you but I feel you will never stop if I ignore. You were the first person to publicise my pregnancy that was barely trying to survive past the first trimester due to its complication. I kept quiet,” she wrote.

“Now you have come again and I know you have receipts and you won’t dare us to deny. I don’t blame you, it’s the close friend, the insider who is feeding you. May God forgive that person.”

“Everyone is going through something including you. Thanks for getting this huge burden off my chest. You tried. But from now on, avoid me, Stella. T for Tenx.”

She has since deleted the post.

It would be recalled that the actress got married in September 2020, to a Benin-based lawyer, Ighorosa.

This is her second marriage that is ending abruptly.

The actress, who has survived quite a lot this year, including alleged domestic violence, a divorce, and a suicide attempt, seemed in good spirits as she took to Instagram to share a meme.

“You’re a fool” Rapper, Vector tells those accusing him of mocking Dare Adeboye’s death with his tweet

Rapper, Vector, has said his tweet was not aimed at mocking the Adeboyes over the death of Pastor Dare Adeboye.

 

On May 6, the same day RCCG General Overseer lost his son  Vector had tweeted: ‘ “ If you know you want to see Next year make some noise noooooise “ ‘

 

He added a laughing face emoji.

 

Nigerians assumed he was mocking the Adeboyes and they called him out for it (read here).

 

He has now said his tweet had nothing to do with the Adeboyes.

 

He wrote: “Oh don’t get this wrong… It’s not about church. It’s about a performance I remembered.”
