Man Dies After Jumping Into Lagos Lagoon While Being Chased By Mob For Alleged Theft

According to reports from the Director in charge of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered at the scene of the incident.

Efforts to save him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead by paramedics from Pre Hospital Care Lagos.

The police report indicated that the deceased, identified as Azeez ‘M’, was chased by one Elijah Amos before he leaped into the lagoon.

Following the incident, Azeez’s body was evacuated and deposited at the Mainland General Hospital mortuary in Yaba for further examination.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
