Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, has shed light on her personal life, revealing that although she has received numerous marriage proposals, she has consistently declined them because she has yet to meet the right partner. According to Ireporter Online, the 52-year-old star made this known during an interview with Biola Bayo, stressing that she does not view being unmarried as a setback.

Akintola explained that her priority is finding someone she genuinely wants to spend her life with, rather than bowing to societal pressure. She noted that many women are pushed into marriage for the wrong reasons, a trend she believes has fueled the rising cases of divorce and broken homes in Nigeria.

The actress also emphasized the importance of balanced parenting, urging families to train both sons and daughters with equal standards of responsibility. She insisted that boys should be taught accountability just as much as girls, adding that a man who impregnates a woman should take full responsibility for raising the child instead of continuing life as though nothing happened.

Speaking further, Akintola addressed the issue of online bullying while advising women to prioritize hardworking men who are willing to grow with them, instead of focusing solely on wealth. She stressed that she does not consider her single status negative, stating that her decision to reject proposals stems from her desire to marry for the right reasons.
