The Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has relieved the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Development, Engineer Ibrahim Mohammad Panti of duty.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mrs Mary Noel-Berje, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

No reason was given for the removal of the commissioner, who was also the chairman of, state salary management committee, was given.

The CPS said the Commissioner for Planning, Alhaji Mamman Musa, is to assume office as the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, while the Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Zakari Abubakar, will oversee Planning Commission in addition to the Finance Ministry.

“Mamman Musa is to hand over Planning Commission to Zakari, while Engr Ibrahim Mohammad Panti hands over to Mamman Musa with immediate effect,” the statement added.
