Nigerian Students Celebrate Pharm. Judith Udeh With Prestigious Birthday Honour

The recognition was conferred to celebrate Udeh’s consistent support for Nigerian students, her commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical practice and her dedication to inspiring young people across the country. The event took place at Carabana Lounge in Ajao Estate, Lagos, and was attended by management and staff of Geneith Pharmaceuticals, members of the Lagos State University MBA alumni, NAUS officials, as well as family members, friends and well-wishers.

Presenting the award on behalf of Nigerian university students, NAUS National President, Comrade Josiah Peter Oche, described the moment as one of pride and celebration. He noted that Udeh represents the values of service, integrity and excellence, which the association seeks to promote among young Nigerians.

Oche explained that NAUS, which represents over 20 million Nigerian university students across federal, state, private and diaspora institutions, found Udeh deserving of the honour due to her impact in healthcare delivery, pharmaceutical practice and human capacity development.

Represented at the ceremony by the NAUS Senate President, Comrade Israel Oguntade, the association stated that the award was not merely symbolic but a call for recipients to deepen their positive influence on society and continue to serve as role models to younger generations.

A citation accompanying the award highlighted Udeh’s journey as one marked by dedication, integrity and service, noting that her commitment to advancing health and wellness continues to make a meaningful difference in communities.

NAUS also commended Geneith Pharmaceuticals for its dedication to quality, innovation and ethical pharmaceutical practice, describing such organisations as vital to strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system.

Goodwill messages were delivered by colleagues, alumni and family members, who praised Udeh’s passion for youth advocacy, mentorship and public health education. A former President of the Lagos State University MBA Students Association, Mr. Pascal Olisakwe, described her as focused, determined and results-driven, recalling their time working together in the Association of Women in MBA.

Responding to the honour, a visibly emotional Udeh expressed gratitude to God and NAUS, describing the recognition as a pleasant surprise. She said celebrating her birthday with such an award from students was a moment she would always cherish, adding that it had further strengthened her resolve to continue supporting young people through mentorship, advocacy and health education.

She reaffirmed her commitment to youth empowerment and public health education, stressing that investing in young people remains critical to sustainable national development. The celebration concluded with the presentation of the award plaque, cake-cutting, photographs and a lively dance session.
