across various sectors.
President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, emphasized that the budget would be implemented efficiently, with a focus on impactful results.
The 2025 budget totals ₦49.7 trillion, supported by a projected crude oil output of 3 million barrels per day.
In an interview with News Central, Dare urged Nigerians to rally behind the President’s policies and dismissed concerns about Nigeria’s debt and proposed loans for the budget. He assured that any loans secured would be used to bring tangible benefits to the people.
“Nigerians have no reason to worry. The President will ensure that any loans we take are used to directly benefit the people,” he stated.
He also highlighted three key areas of focus in the budget: human capital development, with a significant ₦16 trillion allocation for capital projects, a first of its kind. Additionally, Dare pointed out substantial funding for healthcare, education, and agriculture.
The spokesperson emphasized that this budget prioritizes critical national sectors, particularly human capital and education. He stressed that President Tinubu has consistently stated that education is a primary weapon against poverty, and this is reflected in the 2025 budget, with 7% of the national budget allocated to education—the highest allocation ever.
