“No Apologies! Soludo Explains Unwavering Support For Tinubu”
Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has explained that his support for President Bola Tinubu is rooted in the President’s bold economic policies and structural reforms, according to IReporter Online.
Speaking to journalists after a meeting with Tinubu on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Soludo called on political parties that identify as progressive to unite in a broad coalition aimed at strengthening democracy and driving both economic and social development in Nigeria.
“The President is in such high spirits, hale and hearty, and it was such a pleasure to meet with him; it was quite a pleasant meeting,” Soludo remarked.
He stressed that his loyalty to Tinubu remains unwavering despite not being a member of the All Progressives Congress.
“President Tinubu is my friend; he has been my friend for 22 years now and counting, so you don’t deny your friend.
I support him, and I’m impressed by the bold steps he has taken, particularly in the areas of the economy and structural reforms. We’re taking the right steps and we need to stay the course,” he said, according to IReporter Online.
On the issue of insecurity in Anambra, Soludo said his administration is taking a holistic approach. He noted that in January this year, the state passed the Homeland Security Law to address insecurity at its roots.
“All the deadly native doctors are on the run from the state because they are the ones giving false hopes, deceiving young people, and luring them into criminality,” he emphasized.
The governor’s remarks, according to IReporter Online, underscored his firm alignment with Tinubu’s vision while also reaffirming his commitment to tackling security challenges at home.
