No Insult Can Push Me to Anger – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says no volume of insults or criticism will ever provoke him to anger.

Speaking during the July Holy Ghost service at the Redemption City of God in Mowe, Ogun State, Adeboye revealed he has faced countless verbal attacks, but insisted he would not allow anger derail his destiny.

“Anger is simply temporary madness. You don’t want to be mad. Some people will deliberately provoke you so you can ruin your own future. But don’t fall into that trap,” he warned.

Adeboye said many critics were only hoping to see him react in anger. “They keep saying all sorts of things, hoping I’ll get angry one day. That’s their plan. But by God’s grace, I’ll reach my goal.”

The cleric also recounted how he turned down an invitation from an African head of state who sought divine healing after exhausting all medical options. According to Adeboye, the leader had contacted RCCG pastors in his country to summon him.

“When our pastor called to deliver the message, I told him to inform the president that I was busy. I didn’t want to explain that there’s a higher Excellency who takes priority. Besides, my schedule was booked a year ahead,” he said.

However, Adeboye disclosed that the president later visited the church’s campground in Nigeria, where God intervened and resolved his health problem.

The RCCG leader used the occasion to advise members to shun anger and always rely on God, stressing that anger remains one of the fastest ways to destroy a person’s destiny.
