Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will achieve a landslide victory in the 2027 general election.

Senator Jibrin affirmed that the vote of confidence passed on President Tinubu, along with his endorsement for a second term by the North West APC stakeholders, was timely and appropriate.

According to reports, the endorsement came during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday, which brought together key party figures from the North West. The meeting was attended by APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and governors from Kebbi and Jigawa States. Also present were senators, House of Representatives members, former governors, federal executive council members, agency heads, speakers of state assemblies, members of the APC’s National Working Committee from the region, and state party chairmen from Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto, and Zamfara States.

During the meeting, Senator Jibrin highlighted President Tinubu’s various developmental initiatives in the zone and posed a rhetorical question to the audience: “Is there a vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027?” The crowd responded with a resounding “no vacancy.”
