“Omugwo Wahala: Iyabo Ojo Says She Can’t Wait To Return To Nigeria”

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her experience in Canada, where she is currently performing omugwo duties for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo-Mkambala, who recently welcomed a baby boy named Rakim.

In a video posted on Instagram, the actress expressed that while she enjoys caring for her grandson, the routine has completely altered her daily life. She explained that the baby’s frequent feeding schedule—every hour—often leaves her exhausted and out of sync with time, sometimes waking up at midnight.

Ojo, who humorously described herself as the “youngest grandma,” also joked about missing her signature black bonnet, which she usually wears during live sessions on Instagram when addressing issues. She admitted that she misses Nigeria and eagerly looks forward to returning once the omugwo period is over.

The actress further disclosed plans to travel to Tanzania with her grandson, where the family intends to host a celebration in his honor. She teased her fans that upon her return to Nigeria, she would resume her outspoken personality, which has earned her a reputation in the entertainment industry.

Quoting her words, she said: “Peaceful child. But he eats too much. Every one hour. I miss Nigeria. Can’t wait to be done with omugwo… I miss my violent days. When I return to Nigeria, we will resume. I don’t know where Priscilla kept my black bonnet.”
