Oshiomhole Blasts PDP’s “Emergency” Esan Candidate Asue Ighodalo, Urges Esan People to Reject Him as Labour Party Members Join APC

In a fiery campaign rally in the heart of Esan Central, Okpoji, Edo State, the former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, made a passionate plea to the people of Esan land to decisively reject the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, Asue Ighodalo. Oshiomhole labeled Ighodalo as an “emergency Esan man,” questioning his commitment and connection to the people he now seeks to govern.

Oshiomhole, who remains a towering figure in Edo politics and the undisputed leader of the APC in the state, took the stage with fire in his eyes and conviction in his voice. He spared no words in highlighting the stark differences between the APC’s candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the PDP’s Ighodalo.

“Monday Okpebholo is Esan through and through,” Oshiomhole declared to the cheering crowd. “He’s walked these lands, understands your struggles, and has been a part of your lives for decades. He doesn’t need an interpreter to understand the pains and aspirations of the Esan people.”

Oshiomhole didn’t stop there. He launched a scathing attack on Ighodalo, painting him as an outsider with no real ties to Esan land. “Asue Ighodalo is always scared of his people, can’t speak their language, and is even scared to sleep in Esan land,” Oshiomhole thundered. “He’s a man who only shows up when he needs your votes but disappears when you need him the most.”

The former governor also took aim at Ighodalo’s professional background, questioning his contributions to Esan land and Edo State as a whole. “He’s the chairman of Nigerian Breweries and the head of the economic team at Sterling Bank, but what has he done for you? What has he done for Esan land? Nothing!” Oshiomhole exclaimed, driving his point home with the intensity of a seasoned political warrior.

The rally reached a fever pitch when the leader of the Labour Party in Okpoji announced their defection to the APC, citing Senator Monday Okpebholo’s unwavering dedication to Esan land. “Okpebholo’s generosity and track record speak volumes,” the Labour leader stated. “He has been transforming Esan land even before becoming a senator, and that’s why we are joining forces with him to ensure he leads us to a brighter future.”
