The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed strong confidence that its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge victorious over the incumbent Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, in the 2026 governorship election.

According to Ireporter Online, this position was made known by the Director General of the party’s campaign organisation, Oluwole Oke, during the inauguration of more than 800 members of the campaign council on Wednesday. He disclosed that the party had intensified mobilisation efforts across the state and was fully prepared for the electoral contest, expressing optimism that the APC would secure victory at the polls.

Oke criticised the current administration, alleging mismanagement of state resources and asserting that key sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture, and mining, were underperforming. He further claimed that public institutions within the state were not functioning efficiently.

He also downplayed the government’s emphasis on salary payments, stating that the payment of workers’ wages is a fundamental obligation rather than an achievement. He maintained that residents of Osun State deserved improved governance and better living conditions.

The campaign chief added that the APC was committed to addressing challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and weak governance if elected into office. He noted that the party had outlined plans aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and restoring development across the state.

Oke further declared that the tenure of the incumbent governor was nearing its end, insisting that the APC had the capacity to unseat the current administration and secure victory for Oyebamiji in the forthcoming election.
