Tambuwal Celebrates Peter Obi at 64, Hails Him as Beacon of Integrity and Service
The Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has extended a heartfelt birthday tribute to Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, on the occasion of his 64th birthday.
Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, turned 64 on Saturday, July 19, 2025. According to iReporter Online, Tambuwal praised Obi as a political figure who epitomizes integrity, discipline, and service to the nation. He noted that Obi’s example has taught Nigerian leaders to embrace prudence over populism, compassion over convenience, and a moral compass over conformity.
In his moving tribute, Tambuwal acknowledged Obi’s leadership legacy, especially during his time as governor, where he demonstrated fiscal discipline, prioritized investment in health and education, and adopted a people-centered approach to governance.
“According to iReporter Online, your tenure as Governor of Anambra State was distinguished by a clear sense of purpose — with a focus on development and responsible stewardship,” Tambuwal said.
“Even beyond public office, your support for schools, hospitals, and vulnerable communities highlights your deep commitment to humanity and national progress.”
Tambuwal, who himself served as Governor of Sokoto State, stated that Obi’s unwavering commitment to the public good continues to resonate across ethnic, religious, and partisan lines. “Your life and leadership have become a guiding light for many,” he added.
Wishing him continued strength and wisdom, Tambuwal expressed hope that Obi’s voice would remain a strong presence in Nigeria’s democratic journey, “May your ideals continue to echo in the hearts of the people,” he said.
According to iReporter Online, Tambuwal concluded his tribute with warm wishes for peace, good health, and more years of impactful service for Peter Obi.
