The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has extended his congratulations to Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci following her remarkable Guinness World Record achievement for the largest serving of jollof rice.

According to Ireporter Online, Guinness World Records officially confirmed the feat on Monday, September 15, 2025, announcing that Baci, in partnership with Gino, prepared 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz) of Nigerian-style jollof rice at Victoria Island, Lagos.

Reacting to the development on his official handle, Obi described the milestone as a powerful representation of what Nigerians can accomplish when passion, hard work, and opportunity come together. He further emphasized that the record is a clear reflection of the boundless potential of the country’s youth.
