PFS Forces Neutralize 10 Bandits, Recover Weapons in Zamfara State

In a major counterinsurgency success, operatives of the Presidential Force Squad (PFS) have neutralized 10 armed bandits in Zamfara State, according to reports by security analyst Bakatsine on X.

The early morning operation on Monday, June 9, 2025, targeted Mai Tashi and Dan Jigba communities in the Munhaye District of Tsafe Local Government Area, a region plagued by persistent banditry.

“PFS security forces this morning neutralized 10 bandits and recovered weapons in Mai Tashi and Dan Jigba, Munhaye District, Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State. A major win in the ongoing fight against banditry,” Bakatsine posted.

Weapons and Ammunition Recovered
Although specific details regarding the type and quantity of weapons recovered were not disclosed, sources confirm that arms and ammunition used by the suspected criminals were retrieved at the scene.

This operation adds to the recent string of security victories across the North West, coming just a day after the neutralization of notorious bandit leader Guddel and his brother in Kaduna, and following reports of infighting among gangs in Katsina, which resulted in the escape of hostages.
