Photo Of Female Volunteer Killed In Boko Haram Attack On UN Facility In Borno
A young woman identified as Ya Hauwa Ali was among seven persons killed when Boko Haram insurgents attacked the Damasak community in the Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State.
It was gathered that three women, a man and two soldiers lost their lives in the attack which occurred on Saturday night, April 10. Read the previous report HERE
The insurgents stormed Damasak and engaged the troops from multiple locations, which led to the burning down of the UN hub and others infrastructures.
Facebook user, Mohammed Alhaji Ali Damasak, who shared a photo of the deceased, said she was a volunteer with the humanitarian agency and wife of one Kyari Kyari.
Kyari Kyari was said to have lost a child in the attack, however, it is not clear if the child belonged to Hauwa.
The deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
