Poco Lee Release Rumours Dismissed As UK Court Case Continues

The sexual offence case involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains active before a court in the United Kingdom, despite reports circulating online suggesting that the matter had been resolved.

According to Ireporter Online, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that the case is still ongoing and that Odinaka is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026.

The scheduled proceeding is a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, also known as a PTPH, where issues relating to the defendant’s plea and preparations for trial are expected to be addressed.

The clarification followed widespread speculation that the entertainer had been released from a UK prison and that the complainant had either withdrawn from the case or reached an out-of-court settlement.

However, the available court information has not independently confirmed claims regarding his alleged release, bail status or the reported withdrawal of the complaint.

The Crown Prosecution Service maintained that the case remains active and that the September 15 hearing is still scheduled to take place at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

A reporting restriction has also been imposed to protect the identity of the complainant in line with Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.

Odinaka is facing five sexual offence allegations in the United Kingdom, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

The allegations are accusations that remain subject to the ongoing legal process, and the court is expected to continue handling the matter in accordance with UK law.

The case reportedly followed the entertainer’s visit to the United Kingdom in August for the Davido and Friends concert held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.

The September 15 court appearance is expected to provide further clarity on the next stage of the legal proceedings.
