According to Ireporter Online, the Lagos State Police Command has cleared the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, of any wrongdoing following the circulation of a viral video that showed him holding an object believed to be a firearm.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, it was confirmed that Pastor Adefarasin voluntarily appeared at the state police headquarters in Ikeja for questioning.

“After a thorough investigation, including an interrogation session and the submission of a cautionary statement, it was established that the object seen in the video was a stun gun and not a lethal weapon or firearm,” the police spokesperson said.

The statement further explained that, based on the findings, there was no basis to pursue legal action against the cleric. “Consequent to our findings, the Lagos State Police Command has determined that there are no sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter. The case is hereby discontinued,” Adebisi declared.
