Political Tsunami: Rivers PDP National Assembly Caucus Endorses Tinubu, Crushes Opposition Aspirations!

The endorsement was made public through a statement signed by all caucus members and presented to the media by Senator Barry Mpigi in Port Harcourt on Saturday. The caucus, which includes two Senators and seven House of Representatives members, expressed their unwavering support for Tinubu, highlighting the tangible progress made under his leadership and his “effective” agenda.

The Rivers caucus consists of Senator Barry Mpigi, Senator Allwell Onyesoh, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Dekor, Solomon Bob, Hon. Felix Nwaeke, Hon. Kelechi Nwogu, Cyril Hart, Victor Obuzor, and Blessing Amadi. They urged presidential aspirants to reconsider their ambitions for the upcoming elections in light of the successes already achieved.

In their statement, they commended Tinubu’s economic policies aimed at revitalizing Nigeria’s struggling economy and emphasized that his Renewed Hope Agenda is the most reliable path to the nation’s prosperity. They also praised the President for his recognition of the leadership of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, following Wike’s appointment as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

The statement read: “We, the members of the National Assembly from Rivers State, including Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, extend our heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his trust and confidence in our leader, His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, following his appointment as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. We are grateful for the President’s public acknowledgment and commendation of Wike’s outstanding performance as the ‘Master of Infrastructure.’

“After a thorough review of the President’s economic policies, which aim to revamp our economy through his Renewed Hope Agenda, and considering the massive challenges inherited from the previous administration, including our nation’s debt burden and soaring inflation, we are convinced that Tinubu’s plan is the most effective solution to Nigeria’s socio-economic issues.

“We firmly believe that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is on course, with visible results already in place and a solid foundation for future improvement in the well-being of Nigerians. We are optimistic that, with more time, Nigeria will continue to see a reduction in inflation, a decrease in foreign debt, and a promising growth trajectory supported by international financial institutions like the IMF.”
